Our family has been a long standing lover and care giver of Siberian Huskies and Golden Retrievers for over 28 years. We have a great understanding of the breed and have come to love their company. We have been involved in many events before the pandemic and enjoyed short run races (with the Huskies). As we no longer do shows/races, we also no longer participate with any kennel clubs since the pandemic. We have decided to make our dogs and the puppy program our top priority, and being a part of such "clubs" and programs will affect our time to devote to our animals. However, as of the 2024 year, we will be down sizing our program to just our onsite-parents and will re-evaluate whether we will be able to re-join certain groups and clubs as they are currently being revamped. Over time and occasionally our home pets have a litter and we strive to give them the upmost love and care (surrounded with children and people). We found that a family environment is the most essential for having a puppy to transition into another family home. Our goal is to provide affordable puppies as a pet and for emotional support purposes only. This will reduce the option of support for puppy mills and their mistreatment of these particular breeds in stores.
Originally this program started out as a school project that our children came up with as how we can make a difference. We made the decision to help these breeds. So far we have saved hundreds of pups and adult dogs of all breeds from good and bad situations and found them all proper homes. Our intention is to keep this program running. The puppy rehoming program allows us to continue on that journey. Please note, we no longer breed Siberian Huskies as of April 2023. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Due to the increased risk that new and incoming animals have posed to our pets, we had to make the difficult decision to shutdown this portion of our program as of March 19, 2021. We will do our best to continue to assist families with onsite assistance, but we can no longer allow in-house rehabilitation or rescue programs.
There has been confusion online regarding our breeder assist section of our program. Please note, all of the puppies listed on our website were bred on-site, cared for onsite and from our personal animals pets only. As of 2024, we started our guardianship program where we provided stud services for pre-approved females within our breeder program. The requirements are as follows, must be a family pet, must pass all health screenings and OFA's prior to breeding and have excellent temperament. At this time we only run this program with four other families. This allows us to fulfill the demand and keep the puppies affordable for families. In the event, the Female is not one of ours but from the guardian program, we disclose this information. Our program used to be a cost sharing program among our breeders. That is why our costs stay down and why our puppies are sold at a lessor price. We share these benefits forward to families who can't afford a $3,000 to $4,000 puppy. Many of the families we assist are those who need a service dog for emotional, physical and mental disabilities. We are the affordable alternative option for these families. Our pups are frequently monitored within a highly regulated and controlled environment. We get them vet checked and cleared prior to posting them online and sometimes we wait until our puppies are 10 weeks old for full development to complete. Our environment was build with safety and protection from infectious disease in mind and our puppies are tested for such prior to posting them onsite. Please note, all our pups are regularly checked by a veterinarian and are only available upon vet clearance at 8 weeks or more.
As of April 2023, it is with a difficult heart that we decided to stop breeding our Siberian Huskies. The cost to run the program for this breed outweighed the benefits and was putting a burden on our Golden Retrievers' side of the program.. Along with state regulation changes, we are sticking to one breed only.
